Our Mind Health Matters

Our Story: In 2021, our lives changed forever when we lost our beloved son, Dewi, to suicide. Amidst that unimaginable loss, our family made a Decision: We would channel our grief into action. We wanted to ensure that others struggling with their mind health had somewhere to turn.

Our aim is to raise £100,000 for our community benefit fund, to undertake 5 main projects. The Mini Medics Schools Project, Improve Mind Health in the community, Create a community hub, train and launch our Dewi buddy’s initiative & build and phase the launch of our You Matter benches.

“What people are saying”

Owen Pugsley

Joining the Dewi Dippers has been great. They are such a supportive community and it has given me a reason to get up early on a Saturday Morning

James Sullivan

Growing up in the Valleys, you’re taught to just keep your head down and crack on. We’re proud of being tough, but that can make it a really lonely place when your own mind is working against you. Coming to 4 Dewi showed me that our community’s real strength isn’t in suffering in silence

Daniel Stanton

I didn’t know where to turn when things got tough, but having a mental health first aider at work was a total game-changer. They were so approachable and understanding. Instead of just sending me home, they listened and pointed me straight to 4 Dewi.

Amy Griffiths

There’s a real sense of togetherness in the Valleys, but sometimes it’s hard to know how to ask for help. What I love about 4 Dewi is that it feels like an extension of that community spirit.
